International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Jacques Rogge welcomed the “impressive progress” made with preparations of the Nanjing 2014 Summer Youth Olympic Games following his meeting Tuesday with senior officials of the organizing Committee.
Rogge met Nanjing Youth Olympic Games Organising Committee staff, volunteers and junior consultants, and held meetings with senior executives, including Luo Zhijun, General Secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee and Honorary President of the Nanjing 2014 Youth Olympic Games Organizing Committee.

I am in absolutely no doubt that the Nanjing 2014 Youth Olympic Games will be a great success and inspire young people from the city, nation, and around the world to become more active in sport”.
