Either someone has hacked into the Los Angeles 2024 Olympic Bid Twitter account to showcase their sunset collection, or LA 2024 is being a tease – hinting at what the much-anticipated bid logo may look like. We think its the latter.
With the hashtag #FollowTheSun, cryptic messages are being accompanied by pictures of sunset vistas from around the globe – with no further explanation.

But Today over a hundred Olympians and Paralympians are set to descend upon Downtown Los Angeles at 5:30 PM local PT (8:30 PM ET, 02:30 CET) – that’s seven minutes before the California sun sets across the Pacific Ocean. The bid’s Facebook account promises a livestream “you don’t want to miss.”

Do you think it’s at all possible that LA 2024’s new logo and look with have something to do with sunshine, or a sunset? It was no surprise that Paris chose to model its logo around the iconic Eiffel Tower and Rome’s was inspired by the Colosseum – so what’s more fitting than California sunshine?
Tuesday’s logo launch comes just a day ahead of the delivery of the first set of bid documents to the International Olympic Committee (IOC). By Thursday, after those documents are released to the public, we’ll have a better picture of the proposed concept and overall plans for the Games.
