The International Olympic Committee (IOC) Coordination Commission for the 1st Summer Youth Olympic Games to be held in Singapore in August, concluded its final visit.
During the visit there were discussions on final preparations for the Youth Games. The commission endorsed several operational aspects of the Games, such as plans and key creative elements for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies, the victory celebrations, the sport programs and the competition schedule.
IOC Coordination Commission Chairman Sergey Bubka said the Singapore 2010 organizing committee has made rapid progress. He said, “SYOGOC has worked diligently to ensure the best possible experience for everyone involved”.
