Ser Miang Ng, chairman of the Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games Organising Committee (SYOGOC), is leading a team of officials at SportAccord being held in Denver this week.
SYOGOC will give an update on the progress of its preparations to the Association of Summer Olympic International Federations General Assembly, covering the different aspects of the Games such as accreditation, policy, Culture and Education Programme, competition format and rules, sports venues, system testing strategies and transport services.
SYOGOC will also join in a case study discussion on the Youth Olympic Games to share Singapore’s experience in engaging youth athletes and youth of the world, said a press release.
Ng said, “in the past one year the organizing committee has been able to develop the Culture and Education Programme further, with ideas from the youth, feedback from young athletes and coaches, observations and experience gained from other similar events, and inputs from the International Olympic Committee (IOC). We look forward to provide greater details on the program and our preparations at the conference”.
