Annecy’s 2018 Winter Olympic bid has signed up four top-level official partners representing an additional financial contribution to enable the organizing committee to balance 80 per cent of its provision budget of 15 million Euros.
All partners involved in the French Olympic movement have rallied behind Annecy’s bid.
There are now nine Official Partners which the bid committee says “shows community involvement, enhances their international influence and image, and allows them to align themselves with Olympic values, providing the potential to energize their internal communications at the same time”.
Christian Monteil, Chairman of the Haute-Savoie Conseil General and of the Annecy 2018 Supervisory Board said, “the commitment shown by key business players is a very positive sign for Annecy 2018 because it gives the bid credibility as well as providing it with a financial boost. This type of support is crucial, especially from large companies that traditionally have a strong foothold in the region”.
He added, “we will allocate supplementary funds to expanding current communication and lobbying initiatives”.
