Tokyo 2016 Gets Magazine High Ranking

Tokyo 2016 announced that Tokyo is one of the world’s best cities for the quality of life, according to top international lifestyle magazine Monocle. The magazine called Tokyo a “dynamic city” where “transport runs with digital precision, people are mindful of others, and the crime rate is low”.

Tokyo was ranked third in the world to Copenhagen and Munich.

According to a Tokyo 2016 press release Monocle’s ranking fits with the findings of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) whose 2016 Applicant City report ranked Tokyo 2016 highest in six categories, including General Infrastructure and Accommodation.
