Madrid 2016 gave its bid a boost by using 3D technology that works without glasses to present its bid for the 2016 Summer Olympic Games.
Two hundred people attended an official presentation of the technology last week. The presentation, through Picture Production Company, reportedly used Philips 3D autostereoscopic WOWvx technology. The content, featuring what Madrid has to offer, was shown to the guests on special 42-inch 3D monitors.
Event organizer Marc Diaz Williams said, “using the Philips 3D without glasses literally allowed us to show a stand-out presentation. PPC3D developed the animated presentation and set up and supplied all the hardware”.
