Officials from the Rio 2016 Bid Committee arrived in Denver Monday for the SportAccord conference from their training camp near Boulder where they have been finalizing several components of their presentation at the conference.
The bid team has been in Boulder finalizing a new film to be launched at the conference and adding finishing touches to its speaker scripts which Rio hopes will bring its vision to the international sports movement for the first time since the publication of the bid’s detailed Candidate File.
Carlos Nuzman, President of the Brazilian Olympic Committee and Rio 2016, expressed his confidence in the team’s advance rehearsals at the training camp. In a press release he said, “our bid has received unified support across all levels of government and we look forward to sharing this with the delegates of SportAccord 2009. The last few days of team preparation in the beautiful town of Boulder have been very encouraging and illustrate our preparedness for this week and more importantly for the 2016 Games. Rio is ready”.
